Entrepreneurs Champion of the Year

On 16th November 2017 it was announced that Clever Tykes had won Entrepreneurs’ Champion of the Year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2017.

This is a huge award for us because it recognises the power of role models in creating more entrepreneurs, even if those role models are fictional. We’re working hard to ensure that a child’s background doesn’t have to dictate their future. Storybooks for social mobility.

Thanks to those of you who have bought books for your 6-9 year olds, to Lloyds Banking Group for supporting the vision, to Tim and Hannah at Urban Comms for the nomination, and to Rebecca and Emily for beautifully representing Clever Tykes when picking up the award!

Creator of the Awards, Francesca James, said:

“We have been inundated with some incredible entries this year, and all shortlisted applicants should be extremely proud of themselves! This year has seen a record number of entrants and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the strength and diversity of applications.

“Jodie and Ben are doing something unique in championing the entrepreneurial cause through storybooks, centering the books around developing enterprising skills among children and ensuring they are distributed far and wide.”

“We cannot wait to celebrate entrepreneurship across Great Britain with them, and put a spotlight on the incredible talent within the British entrepreneur ecosystem.”
